Josh's mission call came Thursday, so it was a pretty exciting day for our family. He and I went to the mailbox together at noon, and sure enough, there it was! He had to head straight to work, and I took the envelope home and set it on the mantle until we could get all of the family together at 8:00 that night. I think it was the longest eight hours of his life!
Josh was called to the Singapore Mission, which includes Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. He will be speaking Malay, and reports to the MTC on October 10. He is super excited, but wishes he could leave earlier. We have a lot to learn about these countries! Pretty cool!
Waiting...waiting...waiting...
Josh getting ready to open his call. The wait just about killed us both!
We all made guesses again, and Aunt Catherine was the closest. She guessed Thailand.
Studying the map, looking at Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. They are far, far, away. I'm trying not to think about that part!
Did I mention he'll be far, far away??
It was a neat experience to see him open his mission call. He's been looking forward to this since he was just a little kid, and has been getting more and more excited as he's grown. He's pretty happy, and I'm pretty nervous. It blows my mind to think that we'll have
one in Uruguay and one in Singapore.
It's going to take a while for me to get used to the idea. (I hope I can!)
We love you Josh, you are going to be such a great missionary!!!
I'm so proud of my two missionaries, and I love them both so much.
Having missionaries in the family is so awesome!
