From Elder Griffin: I Wouldn't Trade This For Anything!

Buenos dias a todos:)

Okay so changes came. I'm getting a new comp, his name is Elder Villar and he is from Chile, we were actually roommates in the MTC haha. He's a really good missionary so we're excited!

So good news, this week Kevin Antony is getting baptized, (as of now). But sadly his mom is still being a stinker even though she knows this is true... we're going to keep working with her though. So yeah tomorrow we have changes, we leave at 4is in the morning tonight to go to Montevideo. Our mission president is gone! Crazy. We haven't met the new one yet, but I'm sure we will soon. I'm excited!

We had a cool experience the other day, the primary president invited a neighbor over as a reference to talk to us and teach a lesson. SUPER spiritual, one of the best lessons I've had in a long time. her name is Maura and has a few kids and she has a really hard life, we just taught her about the atonement from the Book of Mormon, and testified, and the member bore her testimony, and it was super good, It strengthens your testimony so  much being able to teach others about the gospel! She has a baptismal date for mid July, so we are super excited for her. Everyone was crying in the lesson haha. It was good, you just gotta be there to understand. If you want to study something that will make you feel better and strengthen your testimony more than anything else, study the Atonement!! I love the scriptures.

Thanks for sending the package! I'm excited to get it haha, I'll be watching:) We had a elders activity this week in our ward, and it was just a big  asado (bbq) which was awesome haha, I love it when we do that, it reminds me of bbqs at home! Not quite as good, but close haha. That's crazy that Zack has to have another oral surgery, poor guy! Haha that is so funny about his phone, I can totally picture that. The other night I had a dream that our whole family was sitting in a lesson with some of our investigators here in Melo, teaching them about the word of wisdom, while the investigator was drinking beer. In Spanish. Don't ask me why haha, I dream weird out here.

Sounds like it's nice and  warm there at home, it's getting chilly here! I like it though, this summer has been way too long here geez. I'm ready for some snow!!;) I'm glad that everyone is doing well, and I'm super grateful for everyone and for all the support that I get. I don't know what I'd do without you all! More than anything, I've come to understand the true meaning of the gospel here on my mission. I'm so grateful I'm here, cause I'm completely convinced that I NEVER would have understood the importance and the reality of the gospel, and the love our Heavenly Father has for us, if I wouldn't have come to serve him for two years. I wouldn't trade this for anything!!!

I love you all more than anything:)

Elder Tyson.
