| Elder Griffin and companion, Elder Coon, ready to go proselyting! |
Hi everyone!!!
So, the time is flying by here at the CCM. It's been a good week. We've just continued with the same old stuff and been studying more and more Spanish. Every Friday we have steak and sausage and empanadas for lunch that are sooo good. Like Tucanos. Then that night we had salmon, which was awesome too.
Sorry I can't answer all of your questions, I don't have tons of time on the computer and we usually have to print off our inbox emails to read them.
Proselitismo on Saturday was awesome! We all got on a mini bus and drove for about 45 minutes into Buenos Aires, we got dropped off in our specific zones and were let loose. My companion and I were pretty nervous because of the Spanish and stuff, but the day went really well. We got 13 contacts, made two appointments for this Saturday, and taught one lesson. It was crazy!!! A lot of people here are Catholic.
One cool experience is we had just said a prayer to find someone that was looking for us, and about 20 minutes later a woman saw us walking and pulled over on her motorcycle and started talking to us and we told her about the Book of Mormon and gave her a pamphlet and she grabbed my planner and wrote down her information so we could teach her next week. I hope it works out!! She says she has two boys our age that are good boys and she wants us to teach their family. So it'll be an awesome experience. I just hope she can understand our Spanish!
The other guy we have an appointment with is a guy with eight kids and he says that all they do is depend on him and he wants that to change, haha. So, we'll teach him too. But this Saturday is our second proselitismo so wish us luck!
Last Saturday for lunch we found this little meat bbq joint and got some chicken and it was soooo good! I don't know what it is about cooking meat in a tin bbq in the sun but it sure makes it taste good.
I hope everyone is doing well!! I didn't get any letters today... I don't know if you sent any or not but they said the mail has been really backed up lately. I've sent a few so I hope you get them!
We're all so tired here because we are in class all day and we just want to go to bed as soon as we wake up, haha, but its been good. My companion and my whole district is from Utah, and they're all really nice. I'm sending a picture of our first day proselyting. I'll send a pic of our whole district later. We're not really supposed to use our cameras here or when we're proselyting so I don't have many pics yet.
I miss and love you all! I hope you're getting the letters I'm sending! Pray for me, I need it! Especially for Saturdays! I want to baptize this family!
Oh YEAH!!! The MTC second counselor said that President Foster says hi, and that he can't wait to meet me. Cool! So tell that to Grandpa. Love you all!
Love,
Elder Griffin
