Elder Tyson Griffin: Crazy Huge Storm This Week!

Hey everybody!

Sounds like you all had tons of fun in Disneyland this week haha, I'm glad. Poor Lauren and Zack got sick what a pain. I hope they get better soon! So, this week has been crazy. Another week has passed by? I have a new comp, Elder Looney from California- STUD! We have tons of fun together haha. He has a few months less in the mission than I do. We get along super well so I'm excited for this change. Well, this change is only 5 weeks instead of the normal 6. (That's why I'm coming home a week early)- so it'll go even faster. Then after this change I've only got 6 weeks left. WHAT? scary ha. I try not to think about it.

We have been super busy with our investigators, and we have found a good handful of new ones this week so we are pumped for tomorrow to see them all get to church. We have such cool people we're teaching but it's just so hard for them to overcome their sins.. poor people. We'll get em baptized though. A couple elders in my MTC group left to train for their last 2 changes. They were zone leaders, but President likes to have missionaries end training, so that's prob what will happen with me. I'm so excited!! We'll see what happens

Two days ago a huuuuge storm came through all of a sudden haha. Listen- we were in a lesson down by the beach and it was about 8:30 at night and there was ton of lightning and barely sprinkling, and we were super far from home, so we decided to take a taxi to not get home late. Well, as soon as we got in the taxi and drove about a block on the road that goes along the ocean, we saw a huuge sheet of water just destroy us haha it was incredible. It was seriously like a mini tsunami, there was so much rain falling at the same time I didn't even know that could happen. It was so windy too, just coming straight off of the ocean like that and there were people running to find shelter off the beach and branches from trees in the road and the wind was shaking the car super bad, it was crazy! Good thing we got a taxi, if not we would have been in trouble. So the guy took us home and we parked in front of our house and ran straight up to the door and we were completely soaked. Like a Disney Land ride or something. Anyway so that was our adventure.. then we got home to discover that all the windows facing the ocean were left open, and all the framed pictures and food and stuff had fallen to the floor from the wind and there was about an inch of water everywhere. It took forever to clean. So it was fun, we couldn't stop laughing.

Sorry I don't have tons of time to write, we have tons to do today but thanks to everyone for all that you do! Les quiero mucho!
