From Elder Griffin: Wooo! What An Awesome Email!

Haha!! Wooo! What an awesome email haha. It is so weird to see Elder Brassfield in a pic with my loved ones, when like three days ago I was talking to him in the church in Montevideo as he got all his bags loaded up. SO WEIRD! That's awesome haha I love it.
I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous.... yeah I'm jealous haha. That's great that you guys went, thanks! I'm glad to see that Hayley got my makeshift package that I threw in to a plastic grocery bag and tape haha.. I had nothing else to put it in. I LOVE the pics!! It's weird to see him without a name tag haha.. Okay Elder Griffin.. focus.. phew.

Anyway, we had a great week! It's been super hot here, we don't know what's going on- the winter disappeared! It's been like summer the past few days so we'll see what happens. It rained a ton yesterday, we got soaked walking around in the street all afternoon. (Not many people let us in when it's raining). But it was good. We have an awesome investigador!! Haha, he is a friend of a less active teenager in our ward, he's an awesome guy! He has 19 years and is called Cristofer and is super getting baptized this weekend! WoooHoooo! I love baptism:) We are excited. He also has a bunch of friends too so we are hoping that he brings them to church so we can teach them too. Tonight we have a family home evening with him and his friend, and a young married couple in our ward. We are going to watch the restauracion video with him. It'll be good! Haha he seems like this punk Guayan ganster when you see him. But he's really just a super good kid that wants to follow Jesus, so we are grateful for the chance to teach him.

I'm still with Elder VIllar, the Chileno. We get along well! Unless there is like a crazy unheard of change, this is probably my last change in Melo, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts 5 more weeks! We also had this week a zone conference and it was nice to be able to meet all of the new missionaries in the zone. It's fun being able to get to know so many people from all over the world. I really like the ward here, all the members are starting to realize that I have been here forever haha, and they actually know my name now and it's been really fun getting to know them better. We have a couple amazing families here that really take care of us, and would do anything for us, so it's good to have them!

I cannot believe that the summer vacation over there is already ending.. When did it start!? Haha geez tiempo flies so fast I can't believe it. I love the pics at Subway haha that sounds really good right now. It's only in Montevideo.. so I have to wait for a while until I have it again.. for now i'ts just rice and noodles. Wooh. I'm going to make a batch of cookies today though, from one of the packs that you sent me, then I'm going to make all the elders in my house pay me 10 pesos to eat one haha. I'm horrible. They are worth gold down here, you don't find that kind of delicacy. Just kidding I'll share.

Anyway, I send my love through this email to everyone. Thanks for being awesome!

Hasta luego gente!

*Yesterday, we were able to go to Elder Brassfield's homecoming.  He is Tyson's girlfriend Hayley's cousin.  He returned Thursday from the Uruguay Montevideo Mission and was able to work with Tyson.  They got to know each other really well, so we were so excited to be able to hear him speak and to meet him.  He's a really great guy, and Tyson really loved working with him.  It was a neat experience for us!

Meeting Elder Brassfield:)

We also took the little guys to Subway this week.  Tyson wrote in an email a few weeks ago that he had gone to a Subway restaurant in Montevideo, and sent a picture.  Ever since then, Cooper has been a little confused at why Tyson would be at Subway on his mission.  He was getting Subway and Uruguay all mixed up.  So, we went to Subway so he could see that it was a restaurant and they have one in Uruguay, too.  I hope it worked!  Either way, he loved his drink and his Cheetos.  He wasn't to impressed with the sandwich, he's in a chicken nugget phase right now!

Lunch at Subway...
And lunch at Subway:)
We love you. Elder Griffin!!!
