How's everyone doing? Crazy that school started already haha I cant believe it. I'll be home before it ends! We had a good week, a huge bummer that Cristofer didn't get baptized. Random adversary problems... He has another date for this Sunday, so I hope it goes through! Satan's working really hard with him cause he knows he'll serve a mission if he gets baptized. Ahhgh.. stress. I love it:) I like the pics you sent haha the kids look all grown up, Lauren looks like she's 20 in that pic haha.
Yesterday was a good day in church. Oscar, one of my converts from when I first got here to Melo, came all dressed up in a suit yesterday with all his scriptures and stuff, and payed his tithing which was awesome! I love it when recent converts progress! He's going to the temple soon to do more baptisms for the dead. He got baptized on April 14th, and in one year the converts can go and take out their endowments in the temple, so I'm hoping that as I'm in Montevideo my last few days before I fly home, I can go with him through the temple! Ahh I love it. I'm excited! We are teaching an awesome Brazilian kid named Eberton. He is 17 and is getting married with one of the girls in our ward, and wants to get baptized. We are excited haha he's a stud. Speaks very little Spanish but understands it a little, so it's been an adventure teaching him haha, I love the mission. He is getting baptized September 8th. Wooo!
So we had an amazing conference this week with a few zones and president and a Seventy, Elder Viñas came to talk. It was soo awesome. I loved it. At the end, he wanted to have a personal interview with the zone leaders that were there, so I got to have one! It was such a cool experience. He was so Christlike it was amazing. He is Uruguayan, but has a house in Springville and travels to Salt Lake a lot for meetings and stuff haha, so it was great to get to meet him and have that experience. So, just so you all know, there has been another mail strike lately, for the past few weeks. But I called the offices and they told me that they ended the strike, and now they are going to send all the packages and letters from both sides to where they need to go FINALLY! So that's why no letters have been arriving to you guys and neither to me. But now everything is fixed haha. Ahh, a pain. I got a call from the offices in Montevideo telling me that a box of letters from the zone that I sent about 2 months ago, finally arrived to the offices and they are just now sending out to the states. So, if you eventually get letters from like June, that's why haha sorry. It's a pain. But hey! I love it. Well, gotta go. But I love you all, Thanks for everything! Chau
