From Elder Griffin: Get Better, Kam!

So I just got Kamryn's letter with all of the pictures!  That's crazy!  It looks like that would be a pain to deal with.  I'm going to print off all the emails you all sent this week and read the later but I'll try to answer your questions and stuff from last week.

I opened the package!! Thanks, it was awesome getting a bunch of American candy.  The sunglasses will be useful too, thanks Zac!

I'll start at the top of my list and work down...

In answer to your question about emails and letters...emails are easier to print off and read but its always fun getting real mail, too.  The problem with the mail here is that it is completely random.  I got five letters from Hayley today that were all sent last month, so email is more consistent.

Lauren:  On Saturday when I go proselyting I'll try to find a cool postcard and send it to you.  I was going to last week but I forgot!  I need to be careful with my stamps.  I guess 30 something wasn't enough.

So, for proselitismo on Saturday it was our first day in our new area.  I like it better because the people aren't as rich.  They seem to be really nice.  We beat our goals again, which is good.  We got 20 contacts, taught 11 lessons, and have 5 appointments for next week, so we're excited!

Elder Coon is from Bountiful, and we're the same.  He played baseball in high school, so he knows all about Maple Mountain High and stuff.  He's a hard worker and a good comp.

This new area is good cause it has a little park right in the middle of it where we can go and corner people and teach them, haha!  Its actually really helpful.  Last week I just went up and started swinging with a little kid and talked to him about his family, and enjoyed being like a child again.  We have a couple people that are super interested that we have appointments with next week so we're hoping they'll actually get past the first lesson!

The Fosters came a few days ago, and talked to the whole MTC.  It was really cool to finally meet them.  Sister Foster talked about grandpa and me in her talk in front of all the missionaries and the Latinos were impressed, haha.  They're so funny!  Afterwards, I went up and talked to them a little bit and we took a picture and they said they'd send it to grandpa, so I hope they do!

Yesterday we had a FOUR HOUR LONG conference on the great apostasy, which was amazing!  I feel like I can prove anything now!

Well, overall everything here at the CCM is going great.  Same old!  We only have a few more weeks left, then we're off to Uruguay!  We're all really excited to get out of here, but we love it here, too!

Thanks for all of the emails and letters.  Get better, Kam!

Love you all,
Elder Griffin
