Special Surprise From Uruguay

So, tonight we had an awesome surprise visit.  Elder Burnett and Sister Muier stopped by.  It was so great to meet them!  Elder Burnett was one of Tyson's companions in Uruguay, and has only been home from his mission for two days.  Ty said goodbye to him at the airport when he flew home.  It's so crazy to me that he saw Ty and talked to him just a few days ago.  Tyson really loved being companions with him, so it was so neat to meet him and hear his stories about Uruguay and working with Ty.    Sister Muier has been home for six weeks was in his district when he was district leader and was also in the MTC with him.   She had some fun stories too, and we loved meeting both of them.  It was such a fun surprise for our family.  I recognized both of them from pictures Ty has sent home, and I know Ty really had a great experience being Elder Burnett's companion.  They worked as zone leaders together in Melo.  So,  it was really nice to meet them  We're so happy they stopped by.  (And of course, I had to take some pictures!)

Cade and Coop always want to pose for what they call "silly face pictures"  when we take pictures with missionaries.
I'm glad Elder Bunett and Sister Muier were all for it!

We were also able to meet some great missionaries serving here in our area this week.  On Halloween night, the Elders came over to have a little party with the hermanas, since the mission president didn't want them out tracting that night.  They had pizza, visited, and played basketball, air hockey, and foosball and helped us eat the overload of Halloween candy we had around the house.  It was fun having them here.  We love the missionaries!

Getting to know some of the missionaries that came over for Halloween.

And, while we're on the subject of missionaries, here are a few cute pictures Cooper helping me make sugar cookies Halloween morning.  We took a bunch to Josh in the MTC and saved some for the missionary party here that night.  It was a fun day and I was so busy I didn't do a great job at taking pictures of the kids in their costumes this year.  But there was a costume parade at the elementary school and Cheerleader Kamryn and Bat Man Caden looked great in their costumes.  Spider Man Cooper and I had fun waving at them when they walked by.  I took a huge bag of leftover Halloween candy to the MTC the next day, too, and even though I shared lots of sugar with the missionaries this year, we're still all on a sugar high around here.  :

I love the huge chocolate chip grin he put on his cookie.  Totally Cooper!

Happy Halloween, and Yay for missionaries!!!
