Well goood morning Utah!
How is everyone? I hope that all is well, it's nice reading the email to know what's going on at home haha. I can't believe Nick already left to the MTC!! That is so crazy. And I can't wait to hear Josh's call haha. I'm more excited than he is. That's crazy that he's graduating this week already. Well, here in Melo we have had another heat boost come in.. we are back to burning hot. I have no idea when the cold is going to come, and stay. But hey. It's all good. The other night we went to a less active member's family, and it was pretty warm outside, we walked into their tiny little house, and they had a fire going with all the doors and windows closed and it was about 200 degrees in there haha. I don't know how the people here do that. But it was sweet cause they gave us some barbecue after we had the little lesson. I was sweating when I walked out of their house but my belly was full haha. This week was a good week. We went to Montevideo and changed the zone out. It was good to see all the elders again. I saw my my Oro Elder Torales for the first time in a couple months!! It was awesome. He ran up to me when I wasn't looking and gave me a big hug and told me how depressed he was when I left and how much he missed me haha. He's doing well though, I love him a ton. We have awesome missionaries in our zone, we are excited for this change. Right now we are teaching an awesome family! Esteban, Susasana and their little 7 year old girl Guadelupe. We love them. They committed to be baptized in June, so we will be working with them and hopefully they make it!!!! It's soooo hard to see when people don't quite make it to baptism. We'll get em there though.. they're so awesome. I'm not going to lie, this whole Zone leader dealio is stressful. We are trying so hard to take care of the zone, and also our area. I know that we can trust in the Lord, but gosh.... Satan sure loves to make you feel like you aren't good enough. We just have to keep chugging through. We have had a really hard time getting investigators to come to church on Sundays, and if they never come, they never get baptized. So that has been a huge struggle the whole time I've been in Melo, but I know we can push through it. Pray for us please haha. We're doing well though. I'm really happy:) The other day we were having a lesson with one of our investigators named Taiz. She's this huge German lady haha. Anyway. She gave us a whole bunch of pan casero (homemade bread) and butter... and ohhh man it was good. Almost as good as yours, mom:) I ate way too much. But it made me happy.. so its okay, right? I justify way too much. So that was a good day haha. We are trying to baptize her and her boyfriend. The problem here is that nobody is married. NOBODY. The law of chastity doesn't exist unfortunately. But that's what baptism is for! Tomorrow President and the Hermana are coming up to Melo to do a ´´goodbye conference´´ with the zone. Gosh dang it I'm gonna miss them. My comp and I are in charge of getting catering for the whole zone, so after we email we have to go look for something haha. We are excited though, the conferences with the pres are the best. Gosh... I'm super hungry right now.. I'm going to go eat haha. Thanks for everything, everyone. I know that I don't deserve all the love, but thanks anyway! haha. I miss and love you all a tonka truck load. Be good and safe.
Hasta luego:)
Elder Griffin.
