What a beautiful week:)
Baptism. Miracle baptism. So our baptism this week was an awesome thing, she's called Olga and she is super nice! We found her knocking doors a couple of weeks ago, and she said that she knew she needed to get baptized and join the true church because God saved her from cancer. So we started teaching her and she learned so fast I have never taught anyone that accepted all of the commandments so easily. She is awesome and loves us and all the members in the branch. She's already best friends with all the relief society and everything haha, so it's great. I love my life. I got the chance to baptize her, and it was so awesome. I felt such a pure love for her as soon as I pulled her out of the water and she just looked up and said "Gracias....Muchimas gracias, Elder!" It was awesome! It's times like that that make me want to stay on my mission for the rest of my life. You can't buy moments like that! I'm so grateful for the Lord and the ability that He gives to His missionaries to feel such a Christlike love for the people we serve. So happy:)
Other than that we had a crazy week this week. Monday morning we went to Rocha for pday with the other elders, then Tuesday morning at three we left for Montevideo for a leadership meeting with the pres. Then that night we got back to Rocha at like eight so we had to sleep in the zone leader's house again. Then Wednesday morning we had district meeting, then my comp and I went with the sister missionaries to their area to help them with some stuff, and meet their investigators that are getting baptized. It was awesome! Then, finally Wednesday night at eight we got back to Castillos, then we had to go BACK to Rocha on Saturday so I could do a baptism interview for some elders So this had been an insane week. Tomorrow we go back to Rocha for district meeting and on Thursday again for another interviews then on Saturday AGAIN for an activity. We are exhausted and poor and want o work here in Castillos, haha. But hey, I love it! The bus tickets are dang expensive, so I've had to dig into my savings to keep afloat, but our reimbursals should get here soon. I hope.
It sounds like you all had a good week! That's awesome that you went to Hayden's homecoming. That's so fun! Haha, and mom every time you tell me what you're making for your websight it makes me super hungry. We're going to go make a cake right now. Anyway, I'm glad all is well at home, I wish I had more time to write, I could answer more questions and stuff, but gosh dang, we only have half an hour. We get changes in two weeks, I think that me and my comp will separate :( but you never know. Well, I love you all, I love my life and the crazy Uruguayans that are in it, haha. I hope you all are loving being in Utah, I miss it. Dios les bendiga!
Love, Elder Griffin
