Hey guys,
Good week. We found a ton of new investigators that are popping out of the woodwork, haha, so we're super excited. Right now, I'm in Rocha with Elder Brassfield. We always talk about home and Called to Surf, where I worked, and boating, and everything that we miss, haha. It's super fun. We are having our p-day here today with them cause tomorrow we have a meeting in Montevideo all day, then on Wednesday we have to travel to one of the areas in my district out by the ocean to help the sister missionaries with some stuff. So, we are going to be traveling a lot this week! I love it.
Tonight, we are all going to a family home evening together to make Torta Fritas...scones...with a member family , so we'll take pics and send them. So, yeah, Walter is one of them that is not getting baptized for now.. His son doesn't let us talk to him, even though Walter wants to get baptized, it's really sad. He'll get baptized some day:) It's still super hot here, we're going into fall so some days it will be chilly, and some days super hot, like always. Right now, we're all sweating super bad in this cyber cafe. It's an oven.
That's awesome that Nick go this call to Boston! I knew it was going to be somewhere in the East. Was I the closest guess?? I can't believe Josh is so close to turning his papers in, haha, that's so awesome. I can't wait! I keep telling all my comps that I hope he gets called here to Montevideo so we can be comps. But I doubt it haha. That is so cool that he got a scholarship too! Good job, Josh! I wish that I could be there to help you with your website, mom! I'm so proud of you. You know I love that kind of stuff. And your COOKING! Gosh dang it, I miss your cooking a lot! I'm not gonna lie, I've learned how to cook a few things out here, haha. I've been forced to. When I get home we'll have a Uruguayan food night.
So, this week was good, I love the area I'm in and my comp I have is my favorite. We only have like three more weeks in this change and then I think one of us will get changed out, so we are working super hard to finish our companionship off right, haha. I love my comp. Our little branch is doing well we still don't have a branch president, well, we have one, but he's really the district counselor. A ton of the members here get offended so easily and go inactive for that reason and nothing else. It's really sad. We have like 300 member in Castillos, and like 30 people come. So we are working a lot with less actives here. I have been super stressed lately trying to do everything I need to and sometimes I feel so useless. We have so much to do and it's all on my shoulders and sometimes I feel so alone out here...but hey, I know I'm not:) All is well. We are happy and healthy and chugging along here in Castillos! I'm glad everyone is doing well at home. I love you all!
