I don't like the term "Black Friday". It sounds depressing to me and a little creepy, really. For us, the day after Thanksgiving is "Decorating Day", and we always go to the mountains and cut down our Christmas tree and then stop at the Depot for a hamburger. I don't know if the little boys are more excited about the tree or the trains! Then we head home and get busy decorating. This year, we really did go over the river and through the woods to find the "perfect" tree. Its always an adventure, for sure! Hiking through the snow with all the kids, finding a tree, cutting it down, and getting it into the trailer is actually the easy part. Trying to decorate 18 feet of lopsided branches with lights and ornaments is the hard part. Every year, I swear we're NOT doing it again. A tree-in-a-box that we can drag up from the basement always sounds great to me when I'm smack dab in the middle of the whole production. I always try to talk Rob into buying a convenient yet beautiful artificial tree at an after Christmas sale. I'm still working on that one. My kids love this tradition, and so does Rob. Its fun, but a heck of a lot of work! Once its all said and done though, I usually decide it really wasn't that bad. I don't know, we'll see what happens next year. When it comes to Christmas trees, I think I'm ready to fake it. Maybe.

Love the tree! Beautiful as always! What a fun tradition. Maybe we'll get brave next year and try it. Of course it is pretty great to just haul that fake tree up from the basement! Your tree looks fabulous. Love you sis.
