From Elder Griffin: Opposition

Buen Dia!

So, this has been a pretty simple week.  Unfortunately, we didn't get anyone baptized this week, but we're not giving up, haha.  There's a ton of opposition in this little town.  So, this is the last week of this change, on Sunday we get the change calls.  I could go or stay, same with my comp, so we never know.

This week was good, we found a lot of new investigators and now our focus is just helping them progress.  This town is so small. I have knocked on every door a lot more than once.  But its okay, we're still finding people somehow.  It's getting soooo hot here, and its still going to get worse.  We wake up sweating, its gross.  Its super humid too.

This weekend we have a baptismal service planned, and we have investigators that are ready to get baptized, but its just hard getting them to overcome the trials right before baptism, and just get in the water!  But, its part of the work.  We did a little actividad de rama this week and we just watched some movies from the D&C and ate some food and stuff.  This pic I'm sending is us showing all the kids how to make paper airplanes.  Then I made my comp stand against the wall and the kids were tying to fly the airplanes into his face to win a prize, haha...it was great.  The other picture is just an example of the cloudless billion degree skies of lonely Vergara.  Love it!

That's great that Cameron is in the MTC now.  I was going to ask you for his address or some way to write him, he probably won't be in the MTC for long so just ask Sis. Spilker where I should write to get it to him.  Also, can you get an address for Austin?  I'm so glad he's going on a mission, I've been wanting to write him. That would be great, thanks.  And thanks for the sunscreen-- the package hasn't come yet, but we got the box this week and there wasn't a single thing in it for me again...soooo.  I bet it'll come next week.  As of now, I'm fine with money.  I'll let you know if I need anything else, thanks.  That's funny you saw Andrew at the movie theater, I had heard he was working there.  Church was good yesterday, we had hardly anyone there, though.  I don't know why but people are scared of the sun here or something.  I gave a talk in sacrament again.  Haha.  I love it here.  Its so unique.  That's awesome Josh is in the school play tonight.  Good luck!  Your the boss.  Sorry I don't have any cool pics or stories this week, maybe next week.  I hope you all are doing well at home, and enjoying living in the promised land.  We are all so blessed.  Hasta luego!  Les Amo!
