From Elder Griffin: SUPER BUSY!

Bueno!

So, this was a really good week.  SUPER BUSY!!!   We were literally running to lessons and appointments and getting on buses from 33 back and forth and going crazy, haha!  That's how it should be.  We had a baptism on Saturday!  We baptized Ruben, he's 24 years old and is super awesome.  We also have another couple of baptisms planned this weekend that we're hoping go through, but if not, they'll be on the 29.

So, we got change calls, I'm staying here in Vergara!  Thank goodness.  Elder Rodriguez is leaving to Montevideo, and my new comp is named Elder Davies or something like that.  I don't know, we haven't switched yet.  Tonight we have to go to 33 so Elder Rodriguez can take the bus to Montevideo to get there by tomorrow morning, and tomorrow my new comp will get here and we'll come back to Vergara.  We haven't gotten the box for awhile now, and it hasn't gone out either.  I have letters that I wrote from last pday that I still haven't been able to send, and I have no idea if I've gotten any from you all, but they'll all catch up eventually.  We should get the box this week.

Well, I'm glad everyone had fun on the cruise.  That sounds so fun, haha.  That's crazy that you saw those elders getting home, that was nice of you to buy food for them, thanks.  This last week at our baptism, there was an elder from here in Uruguay that had just gotten home from serving his mission in Texas like two days before, he came up to me speaking English, haha, it was really weird.  It's crazy how time flies.  Six months already???

I'm sending a few pics of some random stuff.  The one with us and the blue tongues is a pic of us and our branch president and his wife.  They'd never eaten Laffy Taffy before obviously, so I brought some (from the package you sent) and we ate some and they thought it was soooo funny and amazing that it made their tongues blue hahaha.....so we took a picture, of course.  The big dulce de leche thing is called an Alfajor.  They sell them everywhere here.  It is seriously the size of a whopper at Burger King.  No joke.  Is just full of dulce and they are so yummy!  The other picture of us and the two old ladies is of one of our investigators, and her aunt who is a member, they fed us dinner and gave us a cake, bless their hearts.  I love the people here so much.  The picture of me and the little kid who's name is Leo, he is the son of a recent convert and he is so cute!  He always gives us a big hug.  He reminds me a lot of a little Latino version of Hayley's brother, Harrison.  So cute!  The other picture is just a random pic of my bookshelf, with some of my belongings.  (Notice the pink pig...) and Zac's temple drawing......yeah, I know how to decorate.  I miss everyone so much!  Dang, Cooper, haha, he's so cute.  So, next week I will be emailing with my new comp and hopefully a couple more baptismal pics.  I love you all and miss you all!  Les quiero tanto!  Haz lo justo!

Love,
Elder Griffin
