Hey guys! How are all of you? Life here is crazy at the MTC! I'm so busy all of the time and I'm still stressed, but I'm not feeling as sick as I did. It's weird to be so busy with Malay. The investigator that we were teaching is Tinggau. He was a proxy pretending to be an investigator. We committed him to baptism on the 11 of November. Now we have a few more proxy investigators, Jonles and Sebastian. So we're teaching five lessons in a week, all in Malay, and they all have to be at least a half hour long and tailored specifically to the investigator. I love my comps and I love the package that you guys sent me! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I can't believe how much stuff you can cram in there mom, that's so crazy.
So how's everybody doing? I'm doing alright, I'm still adjusting a little bit. I played the piano on Sunday and I was already a little bit rusty, but after some warm ups I was fine. I'm glad that I could play it! The Sundays here are awesome! I can finally relax! YES!!!! And last night, one of our class instructors was a guy from The District! He was so funny and way cool! If you haven't seen it, he was the one with the brown hair. So last week me and Elder Clive did our laundry and we got it out of the dryer and took it to our room. We started looking through all of our clothes and he was like, "Elder, all of my garments are gone!" I looked and all of my garments were gone too! Then we realized that we had the wrong laundry, so we unfolded it all and took everything back and put it in the dryer that it was in. (Luckily no one was using it!)
So Malay is kinda hard. We're learning about transitive and intransitive verbs. It's an odd language, but it sounds cool when you speak it quickly. Me and the other people in my district speak Malay 3 times a day for lunch, lessons, and whatever else there is. So, yeah, life here is crazy! It's so cool to hear about Tyson's progress on his mission. I'm so glad that he's having such an awesome time! Don't worry Elder, I'm praying for you too. It's weird learning Malay, all of my English writing is getting bad because in Malay they spell everything how it sounds. I even started a sentence in English and the last part was in Malay, haha it was weird to see. Well, I'm praying super hard and I'm sure that I'm getting extra blessings from all of you guys! I'm going to try to send you some pictures today!
1. My, my comp. (Elder Clive), and my roommates, Elder Plaizier and Elder Johnson
2. My Malay mission tag
There are some more that I want to send but the computer won't let me. Well, I have to go, I'm sorry, but I really love you guys! I miss you all and I've got to go!
Saya mengasihi kamu semua! Kamu habigihaan!
Selamat tinggal!
Saya mengasihi keluarga kamu! Mengaplisaksikan injil Yesus Kristus, dan bolehkah kamu gambina dan habigahiaan!
Elder Griffin
