Hey everybody,
I'm going to print off these emails so I can read them, and I'll answer them next week. I just skimmed over them but I want to answer all the questions next week if that's okay. So, this week has been awesome. Yesterday at church we had 8 INVESTIGADORES! It was awesome. That's really rare for this area right by the beaches, haha. Two families came and took their kids to primary and a couple other of our baptismal date investigators came too. It was really neat. Then for lunch a member made us all a big "American" lunch with eggs and bacon and toast and other random stuff. It was really good! So, we are moving into our new house this week sometime. We walked through it last night and its really small but remodeled, so it won't be bad. Plus its closer to our area so that will help a lot. Haha, this week when we were knocking doors at night, somebody opened their door, and let their dog out and yelled "Da le!" which means "Get him!", and closed the door without saying anything to us. Its sad how many people here hate us before we even say one word! For the most part, though, its been a good week. We're still working with our baptism dates and hoping they can still progress! Today we're buying stuff for the new house cause we won't have anything, so we've got to be Martha Stewarts for the afternoon.
This dang strike stinks, I haven't gotten letters or anything for like a month and a half. Oh well, its okay, I'm sending some, I don't know if you're getting them or not. So, two weeks from tomorrow is already a new change! I could be going to a new area, but really probably not. I won't be an Oro anymore, haha (greenie). So, I just want Josh and whoever else that reads this to know how much Timberline really does help in the mission. I can't tell you how many times its helped us plan for the week, and for whatever else we're doing. That program really prepares you for the mission, some elders out here are so lost...they have no idea what to do! I'm just grateful I grew up in a home and an area where I was taught well.
These computers are dinosaurs, I'm trying to send pics and stuff but they just can't handle it. Oh, yeah, so just to let you guys know, I don't need money, so don't worry about me. They give us enough, I'm an Eagle Scout, I know how to be thrifty! :) But, seriously, don't worry. I'm not going to need money any time soon. Also, I eat plenty and I am warm enough, haha, so mom, stop worrying, I'm fine. All is well here and I'm still alive! I hope everything is okay at home! I'm going to answer all of your questions next week. I love you all!
Love,
Elder Griffin
