Mom Update: Feeling Better, Feeling Blessed
Well, I'm happy to be able to say that mom is doing really well. So far, the second chemo treatment has not been nearly as hard on her as the first one was. Since she had almost a week of nausea and vomiting last time, they have given her a new nausea med this time called Emend. She was given three doses. The first one was given with the chemo, and then she took an Emend pill Thursday and one Friday. They only allow three, and they cost $175.00 a dose, but they have worked great! She even ate a hamburger yesterday and didn't have any problems. What a difference from last time! We are all happy she is doing so well this time and we hope the Phenegran that she is continuing to take for nausea will do it's job, too. She is still achy and has a little headache, but those symptoms are a lot more manageable without the awful nausea! We hope she continues to do well. She is feeling very blessed and grateful right now! Even during hard trials, there are always blessings. She often talks about tender mercies, and we are seeing them. Sometimes you have to look for them, but they are everywhere! We have a lot to be thankful for!

So, so, so glad to hear that she's doing better. I saw Catherine at a Stake function and she gave me a little update. Will continue praying. Thanks for the update.
I just got caught up with your blog, and all the stuff Barbara has been going through. She is a trooper. I love the Cherry Lifesaver idea! We love you guys. (Love the shirts too!)
