Cade and Coop having one last jump session before we take the crib down.
Ok, I know I'm being totally over dramatic about this-- but having Tyson move out, and all of the rearranging that has followed, has been a little bit traumatic for me. First of all, all of my boys traded rooms. Suffice it to say that we've been in a state of chaos for the last month! The hardest part, though, was turning the sweet little nursery, which I painstakingly painted, wallpapered and decorated while big and pregnant, into a suitable hangout spot for a teenage boy. I was probably a little too attached to the cowboy wallpaper, and all of the cute baby decorations that have been in that room since we learned (SURPRISE!) that Caden was on the way. It's been really hard for me to have to move my last two babies into the "big boy room". I love watching them grow, but it's all just happening way too fast!
The hardest thing for me was watching Rob take apart the crib. I have fond memories of us putting it together a week before Ty was born. If someone would have told us then that seven babies would have sweet baby dreams in this crib, I never would have believed it, and Rob would have just passed out. This crib has followed us from house to house and gone from baby to baby for the last 18 1/2 years. This crib has seen it all! It was definitely on it's last leg, (pretty much literally) and we probably should have replaced it three or four babies ago, but I am way too sentimental and get attached to anything that is remotely connected to my babies. So, we did what we could to make this old crib last.
Caden and Cooper thought it was a trampoline, and spent many hours jumping and laughing in it together. Coop hadn't figured out how to climb out yet, (amazing, I know,) so I wasn't really ready to move him into a big bed, but we knew the crib wouldn't survive the move down the hall to the new bedroom. So, my nursery has been redecorated, the crib, (not even D.I. worthy anymore) went into the garbage can, and my babies are growing up. I do feel like this is the end of an era. What am I going to do without a baby in the house? I miss having a newborn, even with all of the work and sleepless nights that go with them. There is just nothing like snuggling a teeny tiny little bundle. I'm not sure I like the way that we are all just getting older around here.
Caden and Cooper love their new room, and Coop loves his new bed. Zack loves his new room, now minus the cowboy wallpaper, and Josh loves his new room. So, everybody is happy. I seem to be the only one that has a problem with all of this. At least Cooper isn't potty trained yet! (I know, I am such a nerd!)

Hello, big-boy bed!

Yes, they each have their own bed, but this is usually how I find them when I check on them at night. Cade's usually hoggin' the covers, too. He must take after me!
Hey, Coop...you might be sleeping in a big boy bed, but your still my baby!!!
