¡Me voy de aquí!
What a crazy week haha. It is POURING rain right now with lightening and thunder. I can't believe we haven't died yet haha. Summer came back, it's been super hot lately. It seems like every week the weather changes. Anyway, changes came! It's very surprising haha. So we usually get change calls on Sunday night. But Saturday morning during personal study, President Armstrong called me to talk to me about changes. He told me that it was going to be an interesting experience for me, and that it would help me for the rest of my life. (There's a lot more to this story, but I'll write a letter telling it all later today and send it, cause it's too delicate for an email). I had no idea what it was going to be haha but bottom line is, I'm leaving Melo tomorrow, and what's happening is I'm going to do a whitewash in an area in the Zone 33, (where I was about a year ago in Vergara), as zone leader. We are taking the spot of two hermana missionaries and moving the zone leader area to their area, it's called Varela. He also told me that I will be the Branch President there. I'm not quite sure what to expect haha but this is going to be an awesome experience for me and I'm super excited. My new companion is called Elder Dame, I know him fairly well, he's a great Elder. So yep. I'm kind of in shock and don't know what's going to happen but it'll be great! (When you get the letter that I'm going to send today, this story will have a lot more significance and make more sense). But yeah we are all excited haha. Never thought I'd do this in my mission. I'm going to miss Melo a ton! I was here for 6 months and got to know my converts and the members really well, but I'm not going to lie... 6 months in a small area is a longggg time haha. I'm excited! I also found out that one of our district leaders in 33, lives in Vergara, (where I was at last year for 3 changes)... so I'm going to be able to travel to Vergara and do interchanges with them and see all my converts and the members again haha woohoo!! So yeah, all the packing starts up again. Tomorrow we leave early in the morning to go to Montevideo for the meetings and everything and pick up the new missionaries. I'm super excited.

The pics I'm sending are of Everton and his wife's family, which are dang awesome and I'm gonna miss them a ton... but luckily they have facebook haha so after I'll search them. The other pic is of Juan Jose, he got baptized like the third week I was here in Melo, still super firm and goes every week. So...that's whats new in Elder Griffin's life. Now we are going to go with the other two Elders in our house to eat at a little Guayan buffet called Gordo's and go home and pack. My legs and shoes are soaked. I love it:) Yesterday they did a conference broadcast from Salt Lake only for Uruguay and Paraguay, and we watched that instead of church. It was awesome, the Prophet spoke and also Neil A. Andersen. (He speaks Spanish, haha) It was good.
Anyway, I've gotta go, we'll see what happens this week out in Varela haha. Woo! Love you all:)
